Easter Basket Ideas for Toddlers and Kids

Easter is coming soon and it's a perfect time to grab a few items for the kids that are fun but also double as great activities for on the go. Another great items for Easter baskets for kids are things that are creative and keep them busy at home.

Below are a few of our favorite items for on the go and at home that are great for Easter baskets.

Toddlers:

  1. This foam soap would be great to split between multiple kids Easter baskets.
  2. Toddler flash cards. I love to play iSpy with these in the car with my toddler. I tell him to find a picture and he loves to flip through them to find it. We "time him" to see how long it takes to find them.
  3. Baby black and white art cards. Babies love these- they're beautiful and are perfect for visual stimulation at a young age. I love to hand them these to look at in the car.
  4. Bunny play set. How darling is this wooden play set that comes with 2 bunnies and their treats?!
  5. Cupcake bakery play set. This is perfect for open-ended creative play. I love that is can be brought on the go too!
  6. Fairytale Story Bag. Your toddler has everything you need to tell magical fairy tales. And when they're done everything folds up into the play mat.
  7. Egg matchers. These are great for toddler fine motor skills! These keep littles entertained for so long as they match up all the pieces.
  8. Wooden flower garden. This flower garden is wonderful for creative play!
  9. Pastel mini magna tiles. These are small enough to fit in a diaper bag- perfect for on the go!
  10. Color sorting fidget toy. This is great for toddlers in the car.
  11. Paint sticks. These have the texture of paint, without the mess!
  12. Cloud Play Doh. This play doh has the fluffiest, most satisfying texture.
  13. Easter Egg Stress Balls. These are the cutest, prettiest colors and textures inside, and are such a fun item for Easter.
  14. Air Toobs toy. Ok, I know this is a BIG gift for Easter, but I have to include it because this is a major favorite for all of my kids. It's so fun for toddlers because they can put the ball into the machine by itself and they love watching it fly through the tunnels they create. If you do a bigger group gift for Easter, let it be this!
  15. Grow Your Own Butterflies. This magical garden set mails you real caterpillars that your child can watch grow into butterflies. I have given my kids this a few times and they love it so much!

Kids:

  1. This pom pom art set. The pom poms stick to the paper with the stamping pen, and would be a great quiet time activity or on a road trip with a travel tray!
  2. Travel-friendly race car game. This game is go great for on the go. You steer the wheel and it moved your car back and forth across the screen (sort of like the game Frogger).
  3. This slingshot kite is super kid-friendly and makes a great on the go toy because it's easy to pack. Bonus- let your kids use it at the park and get their wiggles out on a road trip.
  4. 3D puzzles. There's quite a few different animal options of this puzzle. Kids piece it together and then glue it. It's a fun activity for them!
  5. This maze ball is so fun and challenging- even teenagers and adults love it! Flip, twist, and turn the little metal ball through over 100 different obstacles.
  6. Daisy chain beads. These snap together to make flower crowns, bracelets, and necklaces all without string or scissors. They're adorable and perfect for on the go.
  7. Illustrate your own book. For all the budding artists- this story has a little tutorial of how to draw and come up with illustrations, and then your child gets to illustrate the rest of the story!
  8. Foil Fun Sticker set. Kids love creating their own shiny stickers with different foil colors. We bring this on the go all the time and the all kids love it!
  9. Flower Lego Set. I love giving my kids a fun new Lego set- and bonus with this one- it's 3 different builds in one box.
  10. Bouncy watermelon pool ball. This is the coolest ball- it bounces on the bottom of the pool, so kids love throwing it and playing with it. Perfect to prep for summer and add it into an Easter basket.
  11. Glow in the Dark Soccer Ball. Another great item to grab to prep for all those fun summer nights.
  12. Pop Darts Game. This game is SO fun for kids and adults. We even bring it to the airport for layovers. Throw the orange target and then everyone tried to toss their suction dart the closest to it.
  13. Needoh Easter Egg fidget. Every kid loves these easter egg shaped stress balls.
  14. Specs fidget rocks. These are all magnetic and stick together. I got them for my older kids a few months ago and they love playing with them while they're reading or doing homework.
  15. Dragon Egg Fidget toy. These are so popular right now. And are a fun take on an easter egg!
  16. Uno Splash. This game gets wild, and this version is perfect for summer days by the pool.
  17. This is the best frisbee. Everyone loves playing with this and it's easy to throw!
