Mini Voyager at Pinners Conference

Mini Voyager at Pinners Conference

Wow, we had such an incredible time at Pinners Conference up in Sandy, UT this past weekend. I think Jordan and I are still recovering a bit from it and doing three days straight at a trade show for 10 hour days.

If you don't know what Pinners Conference is, it's basically a massive trade show in Utah with lots of popular brands and companies selling their products. There was a record number of people shopping this year, with 35 thousand in attendance over the three days. Most brands have great deals and sales going on during the show and it's a great time to get some holiday shopping done. If you live anywhere it Utah, it's such a fun event to attend.

Mini Voyager's booth was selling some of our most popular toys as well as a "Build your own Travel Kit" set up. Shoppers could come check out the toys and activities and let their kids test them out right there as they built their Travel Kits. We had so many families come build Travel Kits saying they were heading out on flights to family in a few weeks for the holidays. One mom was leaving on a red eye for Hawaii that very night and built three Travel Kits for her kids. She was totally prepared after that!

Jordan and I packed up our giant 12 passenger sprinter van filled to the brim with all of the toys and activities and Travel Kit bags, and drove through the night Tuesday night.

We drove straight to set up at the conference on Wednesday. That's the reality of running a small business and juggling a regular 9-5 job and life and school and schedules of 4 busy little kids. The craziest thing was that was our first road trip together just the two of us in 9 years since we've had kids! So it was actually pretty nice to spend time together, talk, and plan new upcoming things for Mini Voyager, and goals we have, without needing to reach back and pass out snacks, pick up dropped toys, break up fights, etc. haha!

It was so wonderful meeting so many people at Pinners who either follow us on social media, or purchased a Travel Kit online or at the trade show last year. Lots of people grabbed items for stocking stuffers as well. Grandparents built Travel Kits for grandkids who were coming to visit to bring home with them. We had some people grab Travel Kits as baby shower gifts, or gifts for nieces and nephews. A lot of moms stopped by our booth at the beginning of the day and built a Travel Kit or purchased a few items to keep their kids entertained while they shopped the rest of the day, which was brilliant too!

Over the three days, there were a few toys that were so massively popular we ended up either selling out of them or nearly running out.

Here's some of our bestsellers from Pinners Conference:

1. This balloon dog is so much fun for kids to stretch and pull. It comes in four different fun neon colors and was flying off the shelves.

2. This magnetic Gone Fishin' game was added to almost every single Travel Kit that was built for a toddler or little kid. It's such a great game and keeps them busy practicing their hand eye coordination.

3. This watermelon threading toy was another incredibly popular one to add to the Travel Kits. It's a great one to keep little hands busy, and easy enough for them to hold on their own.

4. 3D Maze ball: This toy was purchased so many times for kids around age 7-12 (and even adults!). It's a miniature version of the bigger puzzle ball game- try ot navigate the ball through all 110 levels of the maze. Jordan and I have never gotten to the end! Buy one and see if you can do it!

5. This Tape Art Activity Book is fantastic to use as an activity that keeps kids busy for longer stretches of time as they measure, rip, and place tape on each of the white strips on the picture. Bonus- it's reusable! Just peel the tape off and do it again. This one was such a popular activity book at the show! This is easily one of my favorite items we have on our website.

If you are in Utah, come see us next year at Pinners Conference! We'll be up there 11/6/25-11/8/25 for three days of sales, shopping, and getting families prepped for travel with kids!
